“It’s a condition of employment that hasn’t been met, and the employer choosing to terminate someone for that reason would make that person ineligible for EI,” employment minister of Canada, Carla Qualtrough (on your left) told CBC while talking about unvaccinated employees.

This statement has left many Canadians across the country in fear and shock; they are nothing but astonished at the audacity of a democratically elected leader to make such a statement. Is there a rule of democratic law left? “Condition of employment that hasn’t been met”- Are you serious!? , do you understand the basic principle of law? How would you impose an unheard condition while you’re already in a registered contract with someone? Had you informed the employee about something like this while signing the contract!? What legal condition, huh!? And she happens to be the employment minister of Canada.

The provisions of the Employment Insurance Act say a claimant who has lost their employment because of their own misconduct is disqualified from receiving benefits. Not getting vaccinated isn’t misconduct. In employment law, conditions are set out when you’re being hired, and employers can’t change conditions when they wish and roll along. And above all, it’s their money; they’ve contributed to it, you can’t just take that away!

Vaccine mandate is running all over Canada like anything, 73.6% of the Canadians are fully vaccinated, and still, Every now and then, we see establishments forcing their employees to get vaccinated, politicians making goofy statements, the very “heroes” of the pandemic our registered doctors and nurses who worked all through the pandemic risking their lives were stripped with their jobs just because they chose not to get injected with something they don’t want. It is a severe breach of the constitution itself.

I got my jab way earlier, but I firmly believe that it’s a personal right to choose whether something gets into my body or not. Yes, you made new guidelines for the restaurant and other business owners to allow vaccinated people only; that was absurd and still debatable, but now it has gone too far!! There are 43,217 registered sex offenders in Canada which mean one in every 813 people in Canada, they would be allowed to sit beside me in a restaurant, roam in the parks, and enjoy their lives and they don’t need any ”Sex offender passport” or a QR code, you know why? Because it violates their privacy rights! Vaccine mandate of such intensity has made even the vaccinated ones suspicious about what is it precisely that they chose to go so harsh for it!?

Vaccine develops antibodies in a person’s body to fight the disease better, but how could an unvaccinated person risk the vaccinated one? And so much so that you start snatching his other constitutional rights from him!? Why do the, already protected need to be protected from the unprotected by forcing the unprotected to use the same protection that didn’t protect the already protected in the first place? What nonsense is this!?

Where are the Charter of Rights and Freedoms! It is a fundamental human right, just as you have the right to choose the vaccine- others have the right to opt-out. But in this country (if at all you believe the supremacy and entrenchment clause of the constitution), service or a job CANNOT be denied just because someone chose not to get vaccinated. And the summit was achieved when the employers were forcing vaccines on work-from-home employees?? How in the world does this make sense?

We need to understand that there is a lot of anti-vaccine news around; if a person is worried about himself and his family, there is nothing wrong with it! They have the full right to opt- OUT. Even the people who’re advocating vaccine mandates should understand that this is no longer about just vaccines! , it’s a human right issue, a personal liberty issue.
